Cinematic Videography & Social Media Strategy by Lavanda Films
As part of my ongoing work supporting creative professionals through video storytelling, Lavanda Films collaborated with Tom Trevatt Photography to produce a comprehensive promotional and educational film — revealing the artistry, philosophy, and client experience behind Tom’s portrait sessions.
This project went beyond documentation.
It was designed to showcase Tom’s process to potential photography clients, educate aspiring photographers through a thoughtful interview and behind-the-scenes insight, and support mentoring and coaching opportunities through engaging video storytelling.
Social Media Video Strategy — Expanding Reach and Visibility
To enhance the impact of the main promotional film, Lavanda Films developed a targeted social media content strategy designed to extend visibility, drive engagement, and attract new audiences across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Understanding how short-form video dominates today’s digital landscape, we produced a selection of vertical, social-first edits optimised for mobile viewing, strong retention, and replay value. These short videos were crafted to capture attention within the first few seconds, highlight the personality and professionalism of Tom Trevatt Photography, and encourage viewers to engage, share, and ultimately convert into clients.
Each video was carefully edited to reflect the cinematic look and brand storytelling style of the full piece, using dynamic visuals, on-screen captions, and music that reinforced the message and tone. This approach allowed the content to perform effectively across different platforms while maintaining a consistent brand identity.
